Pioche Projects was started in 2013 when the Ibar family relocated from Brooklyn, NY to be closer to their roots in the Basque country. They discovered a beautiful raw industrial space in the heart of the Bibi neighborhood in Biarritz.
Having spent over a decade in the DIY Brooklyn artist scene, full of artist run alternative spaces, they immediately saw the potential to transform the old factory into artist studios and a main room dedicated to wellness and culture for the community.
Hoping to bring a dynamic mix of international,national and local energies to have more access to wider global perspectives.
